Bridge and Ferry services.

Campobello Island can be reached by crossing theRoosevelt International Bridge that spans a narrow strip of water, from the Maine coast at Lubec. During the summer months it can be also accessed by car ferry at Eastport Maine, or by the Deer Island ferries that travel to the New Brunswick main land near St George. HOW TO GET TO CAMPOBELLO ISLAND Campobello is approximately 6 hours from Boston. Travel I-95 to Bangor Maine Take Route 1A to Ellsworth Then take Route 1 to Whiting Turn right to Route 189 to Lubec where you will cross the International Bridge to Campobello OR From Canada, take Route 1 from Saint John N.B. or Route 3 from Fredericton N.B. to St Stephen N.B. From there, cross the border to Calais Maine and follow Route 1 south to Whiting. Turn left to 189 to Lubec and cross the International Bridge. Campobello is approximately 1 1/2 hour drive from St Stephen.
